Maggie's Announcement

Maggie is pregnant and is just as thrilled as she looks! She is due somewhere around March 6th. She is doing fine and we look forward to seeing the puppies!

The Play

Summer had a party and the girls filmed a western. We saw the wild costumes and the choreography but we have not seen the final cut. If it gets posted on you tube we will let you know!

Fiber Free for All Rabbits

Summer got her English angora bunnies as the first installment of her fiber and bunny breeding business. This is Fluffernutter, one of her two bunnies. They are groomed daily and you save the fur and create angora yarn. This is Larry being trained by Summer to groom them. She hates the picture i have with her so I will get a good one and put it up as our main picture this week. Her bunnies are from winning breeding stock and her other bunny, Molly won third place in a show already. So wish Summer luck. She is taking a wool spinning class in May.

The Farm Boss

My beloved husband who has put up with the crappy chainsaw I bought him years ago just because I bought it for him has finally got his new Stihl! We got the Farm boss his stihl farm boss and he has been cutting wood like crazy without having to stop and fix it every 5 minutes because it was made to cut scrub brush! Thanks for your loyalty, you deserve the good one!,

Dozer the Death Defying Wonder Dog

For those of you unfamiliar with our newest dog, let me introduce Dozer. That is short for Bulldozer and quite applicable. He is the father of Maggie's upcoming puppies and quite a character. He is a lemon basset and he is beautiful, or was. Within a few hours of beginning his life here, he was kicked by a horse and lost his eye. It took a Huge Dr bill for our free dog to regain his health only to fall through the ice on Christmas day and have to be rescued by my dad. He has taken up chasing moving vehicles and was run over by Larry on the 4 wheeler the other day. It was completely unavoidable on Larry's part and really stupid on Dozer's. As usual, he was fine. If he does manage to do himself in it will in with the knowledge that he lived with gusto every day of his life. He is a joy too and never lets anything get in the way of his joy. He does have one particularly favorite pastime, he is fascinated with how when he pulls a tissue out another one appears in its place. If only we could all be that amazed at life!!!!

The Undiscovered Baker

Larry, having conquered the meat world, decided to try his hand at baking our bread. It has been great! These are artisan loves he made. He has been treating us with homemade bread now from honey wheat to white and a killer cinnamon raisin. We support him full heartedly!

Christmas Update

We had the most marvelous Christmas! It was a real joy to have everyone here and enjoy our time together. We ate and played games and opened presents and had a great time. The kids got all sorts of musical instruments and I got Snowshoes! THey are PINK! I loved having my parents and Pap stay with us. It was so very perfect. A spoons championship will have to played at Easter too. Hunter got a .22 all his own too. He loves to shoot it and is so excited to hunt squirrels this year. We headed downt o ALtoona and visited after Christmas. It was so nice to see everyone. I have to tell you I have been really blessed. Thanks to all who shared it with us!
