I'm a Chicken Grandma!

Can you see it in the picture???? My first chicken egg! I saw Ingrid go into the coop in the middle of the day, which was very suspicious!!! So I went out and found she had made a little nest and one tiny pinky brown egg was in it. Not only that but she was making another nest! Twins! The first time around!!!! I was so excited I made her some recovery mash, labor is hard work! And after grinding the finest feed corn for her she had a snack for all her labor. And to make it all the sweeter it was the day I wore my certified farmgirl tee shirt!

Color Guard Queen!

Summer has joined the Coudersport High School Marching Band as a ColorGuard member. We called it flags when I was in school. I am so proud of her and they are going to be doing all the football games and some Marching Band competitions. She is very excited and quite tired from the all day practices. Watch for future videos!

Garrett as Veggie Tales Character

This was funny enough to make a post! Ethan, Garrett's friend, drew a picture of what Garrett would look like on Veggie Tales. So, here is Garrett as a pea at bat! Thanks Ethan for giving the picture to me.

So Proud of Myself!!

Floyd Update

Garrett wanted to post an update on Floyd's progress. He is eating well and growing. He eats up to 6 turtle pellets a day and he has grown to be larger than the quarter now. He is even a world traveler, having gone on vacation to Paps.

Live Hockey Action

Any Puddle in a Storm

Since we are moving, hows that for being positive, we have been cleaning out all the spaces that have been let go for a while, like under the deck! and when we did the old sandbox was moved and flipped over. When it rained it filled with water, so the ducks decided it was a private spa! Right outside their bedroom door, that wooden thing is their duck box in bear proof safety under the porch. They are quite content. Maybe they will leave Larry's pond plants alone if they swim in their turtle pond instead!

It's Getting to Be That Time Again

It has been a while since I posted. We have been to the fair to work the milkshake booth and had a visit from Grandma B and Pap Pap. We have had a few co-op meetings and Summer has done the Farmer's Market a few times. So there is no shortage of things to do. But I saw the first sign of fall the other day. Larry was out with his bow. And yes he is wearing a long sleeved shirt in August. This is Potter County after all. As you can see he had a complete audience. When I walked out to see how it was going, Guinness was watching from the upper deck and the chickens were watching from the safety of the woods!
