Psalm 84:5 "Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage"..... and this is our journey together.......
They accepted our offer!!!!! That doesn't mean anything is final. We still have to sell our house but we are one step closer! Keep praying for it to all work out!

Well my chickens have decided to become free range. They much prefer to chase down bugs in the great wide open than to live in greater safety in the pen! All except for Olga ( see Right) because she is the only law abiding citizen in the whole bunch. They do come in to roost at night but have chosen a life of freedom all day.

I don't know if you can see my baby birds in the picture under here but we were so excited that our tiny pink eggs from the picture to the right have hatched. They are so sweet and they are living in our 4-h birdhouse in the front yard.

Here is Summer all set up at the Farmer's Market Coudy. She baked her heart out and has her own bake sale stand. She really is a hard worker and will be set up Friday afternoon and Saturday. She made Orange Cookies and sugar cookies, lemon bars, brownies, red velvet cake, and banana cake. Im really proud of her.

Here are this seasons MVP's from the Lauber household. They did a great job and had a great year. Well Done boys.

The babies have arrived!

Baseball has started and Garrett and Hunter are both playing for Rotary in the Inter City league. They are also doing baseball clinic during the week. They love it and Rotary is doing very well. So cheer for the red team! GO Rotary!

We had a great fishing derby this year. Hannah and Cindy came with us and it was a muddy but nice morning at the pond. We enjoyed it completely. It is a lot of fun and the legion puts so much year round work into it. You can see that they hauled away a lot of prizes. It was a bittersweet day though, it was Summer's last Derby. She will be too old next year.

In my continued effort to discover if I have any talent, I took a watercolor class. Here are the results, an beach umbrella.

Well, here is my chicken coop. The biddies are quite happy here and purr and cluck all day. Olga ( the biggest blond one at the top of the picture) is pretty much just like a pet. She wants to be held and fussed over. (Not a great survival trait if the bear opens up the coop, but I like it anyway)
We had one of the nicest, most enjoyable vacations ever but are glad to be home. Thanks Mom and Dad for the wonderful time and hospitality, It won't be so long til we come back down again.
Spring has finally arrived in Coudersport. It had snowed the day before we left for Alabama but now things are shaping up!

The cousins went with us to the botanical gardens on Monday. We went to the Butterfly House and all around the gardens. Aidan's class had made a dinosaur cut out for the garden's current display. we searched and searched but never found it. No better place to search though, it was beautiful.

We went to Guntersville State Park and swam in the Tenessee River on Sunday. It was beautiful and so refreshing. We loved it. Then we went to Top of the River for supper and had the best fried catfish. It was a great meal.

We went to Ben's to play in the backyard and fry a turkey for supper. Then exhausted full and happy we watched the pens play.

If this baby had fit in the van she'd be here right now!

Lynchburg is a great town and we ate at one of the best restaurants ever! Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House. I am adding the link to the list on the side of my blog! Check it out. You eat family style and are served what they are making that day, No menu. We got there on the best day of all, fried chicken day. Our table was loaded with amazing food and each table had a hostess to share the history of the boarding house. It was amazing.

Mom has a great picture of us all at the table. then we went to Cecil and Penny Moses' farm. It was wonderful. We played with the goats and the most adorable puppies ever! They had dogs and horses and rabbits and these just adorable banty chickens. The egs were so small Hunter ate 4 eggs himself! We got to go for a surrey ride and see his hunting trophies. It was just a fantastic day.

The Jack Daniel's Distillery on Friday was a beautiful location. We didn't get to do all we wanted to do because of several tour buses that got in ahead of us but it was still neat to see and had a lot of historical information about the county and the Distillery. Then we headed into downtown Lynchburg.

The boys tried rock climbing at the Space Center. Then we went back to Mom and Dad's and they all played on the slip and slide.

This place was amazing! The things that these astronauts allowed them to be blasted into space in proves they were a different breed indeed. Amazing!

Since I am about a month behind the times I am going to post a lot of pictures today and then be able to start fresh. These are pictures of Thursday in Alabama. We had such a great time there. The cousins all played hard and just loved each other. We had so much fun getting to play and enjoy each other. That was the best part of the whole vacation.
We have come home from AL after a wonderful time! It was fantastic and wonderful in every aspect! We spent the end of the week catching up and getting reset in routine. So I will update the blog this week and show all the fantastic pictures we have of our trip and Ben's wonderful family. So hold in there. I haven't forgotten our blog. I am just trying to reorg our entire life in two weeks!
